At MyDialogue, we have created an environment that mimics a language immersion. We recognise that not everyone has the possibility to learn a language by going abroad, so we created the next best thing and brought it to you. This is why MyDialogue incorporates every aspect of language learning, from vocabulary to listening, to speaking.

But why have we done this? Why is language immersion so successful? Well, there are many benefits, some, obvious, and others, ‘knock on, ’ and this post will expose all of them to you!

Possibility to perfect your speaking!

The purpose of learning a language is to be able to speak it, but unfortunately, this skill is often neglected. Whether this be on language applications or during classes where there is not an opportunity to speak. This slows down progression as speaking is the most important element of language learning. Learning through speaking is the best way to memorise a language, and it helps a learner to understand sentence structure, embed vocabulary, master pronunciation and learn about a different culture! A language immersion enables you to practise your speaking and therefore, improve at a faster rate.

We at MyDialogue give you the opportunity to speak by providing you with unlimited speaking opportuniies with peers all around the world. Speaking is in the heart of each lesson.

Learn about another culture

Language immersion will introduce you, not just to another language, but to another culture. Through reading and listening to media in a different language you are simultaneously learning a language and increasing your cultural capital by learning about new concepts and ideas that you would not have been exposed to!

MyDialogue’s lessons provide this function, as our motto is 'learn a language by having interesting conversations.' and we provide users with reading and listening material..

It’s engaging

Language learning suffers from a bad reputation. Many learning methods involve rote learning vocabulary and when learning how to say ‘the cat is on the table,’ it’s easy to become disillusioned and to abandon ship. Language immersion, however, transforms language learning into an interesting and engaging activity. You learn by what’s happening in the world around you (MyDialogue’s lessons!!) and you are encouraged to continue as you can see your progress on a weekly basis. With MyDialogue peer to peer learning, engagement is also created as peers develop mutually supportive learning relationships with each other.
